Lesson Preparation: Please have 1x soft ball or bean bag. You will need your 1 set of small karuta cards from week 4.
Please have children bring along their pencil cases to the session .
Additional activity: Students will need either an iPad/Chromebook or Laptop to access online games 'Wordwall'.
They also need a Hiragana chart.

2-4 students sit down side by side.
Teacher put 10 small karuta cards in the middle of classroom then Sensei call out name of the stationery in Japanese. Student need to stand up, collect the correct card and return to their seat.
*You can use small karuta cards from Week 4.
We will only need 1 set of small karuta cards.
Throw a question
Students sit in a circle. The classroom teacher will throw the ball to a student and when the student catches the ball, Sensei will ask him or her a question. The person who catches the ball must answer the question in either Japanese or English. Then, that student throws the ball and Sensei will ask another question to someone else, and so on.
Student need to use 'doozo' (here you are) and 'arigatou'(arigato).
