In Japanese, there is a special term for lunch, “obento.” An obento is a special kind of Japanese lunch that is not only tasty, but also very healthy and eye-catching. Japanese people tend to carry around their obentos in lunch boxes called “obento-bako.”
L.I - I can create my own authentic Japanese obentou box.
Success Criteria
- Nutritious and tasty!
(rice, meat, other)
- Colourful
- Must be eaten cold
-No space left unfilled
- Use a variety of shapes
Using Google - find images of at least 10 obentou boxes. Cut and paste these into a Power-Point document and save for later reference.
Using your 'Obentou' template begin planning your obentou. Choose your favourite elements from above (rice, meat, other) make it tasty and nutritious. Remember Obentou boxes are always colourful too!
