Lesson Preparation: Please print out 1x 'school lunch' sheet per student. Colouring/drawing pencils.
Kyushoku means 'School Lunch'. In Japan all primary school students eat the same lunch. Lunches are delivered in trucks each day, they come prepared in large pots and are delivered on trolleys to each classroom. Children are responsible for dishing up and serving lunch as well as packing dishes away after. Children learn healthy food portions and share responsibility with their peers. School lunches are generally warm meals and include a variety for example, steamed fish, rice, soup, bread rolls and hot-dogs.
