What does 'LDK' mean?

What does the number before 'LDK' mean?

What would your house be? How many bedrooms do you have? Do you have a living or dining room, or a kitchen?

ACTIVITY: Using the dotted paper attached, draw a floor plan of your house like those in the video. They do not need to be exactly to size but you do need to include the major rooms in your home.

Once you have drawn your house you can then label each of the rooms using the Japanese words above and write a description of your home for example; '1LDK' or '2LDK'.
