Greeting- revise rules, mark roll (5 min)

Year 5 Language Revision - Onamae wa nan desu ka? + gestures Revise as a whole group

Revise ____ ga suki desu/ ga suki janai desu (15 min)

New Focus Language - Learning Wall - Revise adjectives to describe people. chiisai, ooki, kashikoi, kawaii, yasashii, omoshiroi (show on help sheet) (10 min)

Slow reveal - how quickly can you say it? (5 min)

Game - Pacman (15 min)

Lesson 2

I can share my age.

I can share whether I am a boy or a girl.

Greeting in Japanese – mark roll, introduce myself – (5 min)

Language Focus ; Onamae wa – whole group (5 min)

Suki desu ka - quick practice (5 min)

Nan sai desu ka? Song. Nan sai desu ka? Song - Practice with a friend. (3 min)

Introduce Kamishibai (5 min)

Kaguyahime Story (15 min)

Writing about Kaguyahime (15 min) Give out Kaguyahime picture – students write about this.

Include onna no ko/otoko no ko
